Sharing gives a project a public page on OneDrop, such as https://onedrop.example.com/s/team-crm-k3x9q2ab. The page shows the prompt you started from, a screenshot of the app, and a Remix this button so anyone can start their own project from your prompt.
Links to the page unfurl in Slack, X, LinkedIn, iMessage and elsewhere with a preview card that OneDrop makes for the project: your prompt next to a screenshot of the app.
Sharing is separate from publishing. The share page shows a screenshot, not the running app. When the project is also published as Public, the page links to the app with Open the app.
Click Share at the top right of the workspace.
Prompt to show starts as the project’s first prompt. Edit it so it
reads well and leaves out anything private. Page to screenshot is
the path in the app to take the screenshot of, such as / or
/dashboard.
Click Share. OneDrop takes the screenshot and makes the card in the background, which takes a few seconds. The panel shows the card when it’s ready.
The panel then shows the link with a copy button, Post on X and LinkedIn buttons, and how many views and remixes the page has had. Views from you and from link-preview bots aren’t counted.
The rest of the chat, the code, and the app’s data are never shown.
The card and screenshot don’t change by themselves when the app does. After changing the app, open Share and click Refresh card. Saving a new prompt or page also makes a new card.
Making a card needs the project’s sandbox and app to be running. If they aren’t, the panel says why. Open the project, wait for the preview, and click Refresh card. Until the first card is ready, links show OneDrop’s own card.
Anyone on a share page can click Remix this. They land on the new-project page with the shared prompt filled in, ready to edit and send. Visitors without an account sign up first, and set up AI if they need to.
Open Share and click Stop sharing. The page, its card and its screenshot stop working right away. Sharing again gives the project a new link. Deleting a project also deletes its share page.
OneDrop makes cards with headless Chromium inside the sandbox image. After updating, rebuild the image with php artisan sandbox:build-image. Sandboxes pick up the new image the next time their project is opened.
